333

Since Hadassah will (very) soon know more than a small list of things, we thought we'd list what Hadassah knows today.  She is 333 days old.

Current words she can say:

  • Luna (Her first word, at 8 months)
  • Jesse
  • Mama
  • Aba (sounds like baba)
  • There he/she/it is! (first sentence)
  • Meow
  • Ya
  • Gull (although she can't quite recognize between gull varieties, or other birds for that matter)
  • More/Again (it's more of a cute high-pitched grunt, but she definitely gets the point across)

She also signs milk (which she started doing consistently on Thanksgiving weekend, and it also means "I want"), and signs no and all done (which, if you're not quick enough to respond, will end with the spoon being knocked out of your hand and possibly food everywhere.  If she is lucky enough to get some of the food on her hand, she will then inspect it and squish it around in her hand, if it is squishable.  This will end in her trying to give it to Luna, and then all is well.)
She does not, however, have a clue how to feed herself.  That's what adults are for.

She recognizes, and can point to (and will also say "there it is" about):

  • Mama
  • Aba
  • Luna
  • Jesse
  • Tiger
  • Her foot
  • Yogurt
  • Bread
  • Gramma Helen
  • Anika (friend)
  • Rock
  • Book
